The start of a new school year means that there are lots of important and exciting dates coming up for you and your student. The Indiana Wesleyan University academic calendar lists all the dates that you will want to know for the 2019-2020 academic year!

Below we’re giving a quick look at some of the most important dates in the fall that you’ll want to mark on your calendar!
September 3 (Tuesday): First day of classes
After NSO and returning students’ move-in day (8/30), students begin their first day of classes! Last day to add classes will be that Friday, September 6th.
September 27 (Friday): Grandparents’ Day
Grandparents will attend a Continental Breakfast; learn more about Indiana Wesleyan University during a morning Welcome Session, attend Chapel with their grandchild, and enjoy a Special Musical Performance by Indiana Wesleyan University students. Learn more about Grandparents’ Day here!
October 11-12 (Friday-Saturday): Homecoming Weekend
If you’re interested in coming for Homecoming Weekend, check out the full schedule of events here. You will have the opportunity to join us for a variety of activities, from art shows to chapel to our Homecoming concert featuring Aaron Shust. You can purchase tickets to the concert here!
October 12 (Saturday): Homecoming Game
The Homecoming game will be at Wildcat Stadium at 1:00pm against Lawrence Tech. The game will be a red-out, so make sure to bring your brightest IWU gear to represent the Wildcats! You can purchase tickets here.
October 18-20 (Friday-Sunday): Fall Break
Directly following midterms, students celebrate fall with a long weekend. Students can choose to go home, visit friends’ homes, stay on campus or head out on one of Adventure Learning trips!
November 27-December 1 (Wednesday-Sunday): Thanksgiving Break
Tuesday (11/26) day classes meet, but TUESDAY EVENING CLASSES DO NOT MEET. Many students leave right after that last Tuesday day class and are home by Tuesday evening.
December 9-12 (Monday-Thursday): Finals
You can send your child a Wildcat Care Package to be delivered to them during finals. Volunteers from the Alumni Association fill these survival kits with snacks like a granola bar, candy, cookies, nuts, crackers, popcorn, applesauce, and fruit snacks. Learn more about the packages here!
December 13: Christmas Break begins
Have a great Christmas and New Year’s Eve Break with your child! Classes for the spring semester start Monday, January 6th.
