Family Weekend is an exciting tradition for the IWU community. Students love visits from family members, and Family Weekend provides an opportunity for students and their families to spend time together. IWU will provide fun events and activities for families to participate in, and the weekend will be enjoyable for family and friends of all ages. When is Family Weekend?
Family weekend begins on Friday, March 22 and lasts until Sunday, March 24. Families are welcome to arrive and check in on Friday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Barnes Student Center Commons. If your family would prefer to arrive on Saturday morning, check-in will be available in the Commons from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
What activities are planned?
On Friday night your family can enjoy Family Game Night in the Commons at 6:00 p.m., and you can attend Friday Night Live at 8:45 p.m. in the Philippe Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available at https://www.indwes.edu/events/onstage/events. On Saturday morning, families can visit the Recreation and Wellness Center for more activities, such as taking a dip in the pool. In the evening, families are invited to attend the Family Weekend Banquet in the Student Center Commons where there will be live entertainment featuring a magician. Tickets are available for purchase when registering online.
